The CW’s long-running reality television program, America’s Next Top Model, entered its 20th season early this fall. Created and by former supermodel and fashion industry heavyweight, Tyra Banks, the past 19 seasons of ‘Top Model’ have been known for introducing interesting concepts and pushing the envelope. This season proved no differently. In a series dominated by over 175 contestants and 19 winners (all of whom are female), season 20 made waves by incorporating both males and females–with the aptly titled name, “America’s Next Top Model 2.0: Guys & Girls”.

A motley of talent was displayed as the guys and the girls feverishly competed in a fashion battle for the ages. In competition filled with drama, sweat, and even tears, it came down to the final two contestants:

The finale was a nail biter as the judging panel consisting of Tyra Banks, Rob Evans, Kelly Cutrone and Bryanboy reviewed the final two models’ portfolios and overall body of work through the series. In the end, the winner was chosen…

The judges all agreed that even though they were pushing for a male to win this season, Jourdan’s overall body of work and profitability as a model far exceeded Marvin’s and she was awarded the title of “America’s Next Top Model”.

Congratulations to all of the contestants as this season was the first of its kind! ANTM is renewed for a 21st season so tune in next fall as Tyra Banks gathers a new group of contestants and determines America’s next top model.

WOW Jessica!! Is that you?! Singer Jessica Simpson is flaunting her new post-baby body again and she looks truly amazing.1384018355_jessica-simpson-weight-watchers_1

Jessica Simpson, who’s suffered from a constant uphill battle with her weight, became the new spokesperson for Weight Watchers in early 2012. Jessica’s body over the years has had its share of fluctuations, due mainly in part to the birth of her two children, Maxwell and Ace. The pop songstress shocked and amazed fans when she took to twitter, saying “”Couldn’t stop smiling on set for my new @weightwatchers campaign today!  #happy.” Accompanied with the tweet was a picture of the 33-year old, singer gleaming with confidence while rocking a noticeably slimmer figure.

In the photo she dons a white blouse, boots and a flattering pair of dark blue jeans.

In an interview with US Weekly, Jessica revealed,

I knew I needed a plan that’s simple and fits into my life, along with the  support that’s so important to my success. I know Weight Watchers works, so I  got on the plan again.”

What’s so different this time around? Simpson went on to explain,

“I’m a lot more confident this time around. With Maxwell I  didn’t think about the weight I was gaining, and the first time I stepped on a  scale and looked at the number…I mean, that wasn’t a number I had ever even  considered…and I was faced with a pretty serious truth. But since I had  already done Weight Watchers, I didn’t put on as much weight with Ace and I just  know a lot more now.”

That hard work is definitely paying off and Jessica looks just as amazing as she did in her “Dukes of Hazard Days”. Remember this?

Loving Katy Perry has been a hobby of ours for seven plus years now, so one can only begin to imagine how dangerously delighted we were to find out that CoverGirl introduced Perry as their newest spokesperson for their Spring 2014 campaign. The pop star also joins an illustrious line-up of other celebrity spokeswomen of the cosmetic line including Sofia Vergara, P!nk and Ellen DeGeneres.

Katy took to social networking and tweeted,

“BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in? #COVERGIRLKATY,”

The news of her first ever beauty endorsement comes only days before her highly anticipated album Prism hits the shelves Oct. 22.

Perry has been known and often polarized for her bold aesthetic choices so it surprises us in the least that CoverGirl chose her to represent their “bold new beauty looks” campaign. In the ad, Perry can be seen wearing a minimal amount of CoverGirl Clean Glow Blush in “Roses” and a bold application of CoverGirl LipPerfection in “Euphoria”–a true beauty.

In a public statement regarding her partnership with CoverGirl, she stated:

“In addition to music, I’ve always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression. I’m honored to partner with COVERGIRL and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience.”

Fans aren’t the only ones excited about this! Esi Eggleston Bracey, VP and general manager of CoverGirl Cosmetics, revealed, “Never afraid to express emotion, strength, vulnerability or independence, Katy is the embodiment of a true COVERGIRL — someone we root for, identify with, and get inspiration from.”

This is just the cherry on top on what has already been such a lucrative and amazing year for Perry. We wish her continued success and are paralyzed with excitement for the Spring 2014 campaign.
